Williams Succumbs; Rites Held November 6 Funeral services for Mrs. Ruth C. Williams, 68, were held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield by Rev. R. E. Walton. Burial was in the New Jerusalem Cemetery near Winnfield under direction of Southern Funeral Home. Mrs. Williams died at 6:45 Friday, November 4, 1966 in a Winnfield hospital after a long illness. She was a native of Arkansas and a member of the First Methodist Church of Winnfield. She was a descendant of the Carroway family, early settlers of Winn Parish. Survivors include her husband, Burton H. Williams of Winnfield; two sons, Dr. Burton H. Williams, Jr., of Dallas, Texas, and M-Sgt. James E. Williams of Bossier City; two daughters, Mrs. Don E. Bailey of Lowell, Ind., and Mrs. J. W. Kennedy, Jr., of Winnfield; a brother, Drew Carrowasy of Winnfield; two sisters, Mrs. Blanchard Harper of Winnfield and Mrs. Paul Henderson of Houston, Texas, and 10 grandchildren. Pallbearers were C. C. Carter, Marvin Carroway, Frank Shaw, Dan Page, James Thomas, and Dalton Martin.
