Williams Dies At Prescott, Ark. Saturday Former Resident of Winnfield; Son of Mrs. W. H. Williams Alvah Chester Williams, son of Mrs. W. H. Williams of Winnfield, died suddenly at his home at Prescott, Arkansas, Saturday, July 12, 1935 of heart attack. Mr. Williams was a traveling salesman connected with the Lincoln-McKeeson Company of Little Rock, Arkansas, and had been with this company since his discharge form the U. S. Army just after the close of the World War. During the war he served in the Medical Corps of the U. S. Army as a pharmacist. He was born at Winnfield, La. November 8, 1886 and received his early education here, and then attended L. P. I. at Ruston, and graduated from the Atlanta College of Pharmacy in 1904, following this profession for a number of years. He later became a traveling drug salesman. In 1917, he was married to Miss Ethel Bailey of Prescott, Arkansas, at which place they made their home. Funeral services were held Sunday, July 14 at 5 p.m. and interment was in the Prescott Cemetery. Surviving relatives are his wife, Mrs. A. C. Williams of Prescott, Ark.; his mother, Mrs. W. H. Williams, Winnfield; brother, Burton H. Williams, Winnfield; three sisters, Mrs. P. C. Mosley, New Orleans; Mrs. George A. Moffett, Monroe; and Mrs. C. W. Spiegle, Aberdeen, Washington.
