From: J. E. Williams, Sr., 76, Dies In Natchitoches

J. E. Williams, Sr., 76, died Sunday, November 29, 1970 in a Natchitoches
hospital after a long illness.

Mr. Williams was a retired restaurant and motel operator while a resident of
Winnfield.  Since his retirement he was a resident of Robeline.

Funeral services were held Monday at 2 p.m. in the Hixson Brothers Chapel in
Winnfield with the Rev. J. C. Skinner officiating.  Burial was in Winnfield
Cemetery.

Survivors include his widow of Robeline; a son, J. Ellis Williams of
Winnfield; his father, John O. Williams of Goldonna; two sisters, Mrs. Jesse
Quarles of Goldonna and Mrs. Sallie Drew of Sierra Vista, Ariz.; and three
grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Spence Bourquin, Harry Davis, Vernon Blair, Albert Bourquin,
Owen Jordan, Connie Bob Horne, Albert Drew, and Jack McBride.
