Mrs. Williams, Former Calvin Resident, Dies

Mrs. Zack Williams, Sr., 87, died at 9 a.m. Monday, February 28, 1972 at her
residence in New Orleans, where she made her home with a daughter, Mrs.
Mobley.  She was a member of the Calvin Baptist Church and a native of Hot
Springs, Ark., but was a resident of Calvin for many years.

Survivors include three sons, Dewey Williams of Orange, Texas, Virgil Williams
of Winnfield, and Zack Williams, Jr., of New Roads; a daughter, Mrs. Grace W.
Mobley of New Orlenas; one brother, Nat Bettis of Little Rock, Ark.; five
grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the Calvin Baptist Church
with the Rev. Ed Smith and the Rev. Charles Thornton officiating.  Burial was
in Sanders Chapel Cemetery under direction of Southern Funeral Home of
Winnfield.
