THE WINNFIELD-NEWS AMERICAN Friday, March 25, 1938 Mrs. Walter Norris of Dodson Dies In Hospital on Sunday Funeral Services Monday Morning Interment In Jonesboro Cemetery Mrs. Walter Norris, age 27, of Dodson died Sunday morning at four o'clock at the Ruston hospital following an illness of two weeks' duration. The deceased was a member of the Dodson Baptist church and was active in all religious and civic enterprises of the town. She with her husband and son came to Dodson a little more than a year ago to make their home. Funeral services were held at the Dodson Baptist church Monday morning at 10:30 o'clock conducted by the Rev. S. G. Rodgers of Pineville, assisted by the Rev. D. D. Boddie of Hodge and the Rev. L. P. Moreland of Choudrant. Interment was made in the Jonesboro cemetery. Mrs. Norris is survived by her husband, Walter Norris, one son, Marvin Norris of Dodson, four sisters, Mrs. Guston Goss of Bernice, Mrs. John Britt of Dubach, Miss Ruby Owen of Dubach, Miss Audie Owen of Bernice, and one brother Henry Owen of Bernice. Pall bearers included H. R. Sylvest, Alfred L. Mixon, I. N. Carpenter, G. W. Price, L. L. Lee, Henry Kornegay and H. D Scott.
