Davies, 120 Ted Price Lane, Winnfield, LA 71483 Date Submitted: Jan 11, 1999 From: February 8, 1962 Winn Parish Enterprise News-American Mrs. Ella Womack, Joyce Resident, Succumbs At 88 Funeral services were held February 5 for Mrs. Ella Blackstock Womack, 88, resident of Joyce and widow of the late Wyley Womack. Death followed a long illness. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Jim Bolton, Mrs. W. L. Tanner, Joyce, and Mrs. Robbie Gray, Las Vegas, Nevada; two sons, J. D. Long, Winnfield, and Charles E. Long, Falfurias, Texas; three brothers, O. H. Blackstock, Farmerville, Houston Blackstock, Winnfield, and Chester Blackstock, New Orleans; two sisters, Mrs. Nora Cannon, Winnfield, and Mrs. Jessie Holstein, Evergreen; 17 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren. Mrs. Womack was a native of Winn Parish. She had lived with her daughter, Mrs. Bolton, in Joyce prior to her death. The services were in the East Winnfield Baptist Church with the Rev. Kenneth F. Wall and the Rev. Louis B. Williams officiating. Burial was in the Old Corinth Cemetery under the direction of the Southern Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Harvey Boles, Alfred Cockerham, Aaron Creel, Blackie Jourdan, Glyn Guin, and Harry Armstrong. Out of town relatives and friends attending the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. F. R. Armstrong, Alexandria, Mrs. Ruth Mitchell, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Armstrong, Jeanette Tanner, Mr. and Mrs. Derrell Tanner, all of Shreveport; Mr. and Mrs. Herman Culpepper, Mr. and Mrs. G. D. Armstrong, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Armstrong, all of Gibsland; Mr. and Mrs. O. H. Blackstock, Farmerville; Mr. and Mrs. Will Franks, Saline; Mr. and Mrs. Emery Watson, Tullos; Mr. and Mrs. Abe Womack, Sikes; Laverne Cockerham, Louisiana Tech, Ruston; Donnie Womack, Jonesboro; Mr. and Mrs. Bill Cooks, Kilgore, Texas; and Mrs. Robbie Gray, Las Vegas, Nevada.
