Richard Womack, Lifelong Resident, Dies Here Friday

Richard D. Womack, 80 year old lifelong resident of Winn Parish, died in a
local hospital Friday, November 28.  Funeral services were held at Old Union
Baptist Church, with ministers Rev. Harrison Cockerham, Rev. Willie James, and
Rev. Edward Smith.  Burial was in the church cemetery under direction of
Southern Funeral Home.

Mr. Womack was born November 15, 1878, in Winn Parish.  He was a member of the
Old Union Baptist Church.

Survivors are four sons, Bill Womack of Winnsboro, Doc Womack of Sikes, Ted
Womack of Joyce, Earl Womack of Natchev, Washington; two daughters, Mrs.
Nettie Brister of Sikes and Mrs. Verla Parker of Joyce; 23 grandchildren and
27 great grandchildren; three brothers, Walter Womack of Winnfield, Abe and
Clarence Womack of Sikes.
