Mrs. C. R. Wood, 94, Dies; Rites Held Saturday

Mrs. Ira C. Wood, 94, of Winnfield, died at 4 p.m. Thursday, August 22, 1968
in a Winnfield hospital.

She was a native of Douglassville, Texas and a member of the First Methodist
Church.

Survivors include two sons, Herman G. Wood of Robstown, Txas and Harold R. 
Wood of Uvalde, Texas; two daughters, Miss Janie L. Wood and Miss Ruth V. 
Wood, both of Winnfield; one brother, C. B. Cole of Winnfield; two sisters,
Mrs. A. L. Jones of Dallas, Texas, and Mrs. J. M. Embree of Atlanta,Texas; six
grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the First Methodist Church
at Winnfield with Rev. Richard Walton and W. R. Gage officiating.  Burial was
in the Winnfield Cemetery under direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of
Winnfield.

Pallbearers were Morris Wood, James Russell, Denton Shell, Dick Cole, Don
Turner, Newton Forrest, and Dennis Shell.
