Woodard Died Here Sunday After Long Illness James Edward Woodard, 72, retired farmer of Red River Parish, who had made his home in Winnfield for the past year, died at a local clinic Sunday, January 15, 1950, after a long illness. He had been a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church since early youth and was a charter member of the Ajax Masonic Lodge of Red River Parish. Funeral services were held at Bethany Church Monday with interment in the Bethany Cemetery, Red River Parish. Acting as pallbearers were nephews of the deceased. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Beulah Spikes Woodard, Winnfield; three sisters, Mrs. Susie Chelette, Coushatta; Mrs. Edna Whitehead, Little Rock, Ark., Mrs. Harry Porter, DeQueen, Ark.
