Montgomery Native Dies In Grand Prairie  

Raymond Joel Woods, 48, died Thursday, July 3, 1975 in an automobile accident
in Grand Prairie, Texas, his hometown.  He was a native of Montgomery and
retired from the U. S. Air Force.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Alberta Woods of Grand Prairie, Texas; one
son, Brant Woods of Grand Prairie, Texas; one daughter, Bonnie Woods of
Dallas, Texas; his mother, Mrs. Bennie F. Woods of Montgomery; two sisters,
Mrs. Lucille Ducote of Shreveport and Mrs. Elsie Chabola of Lake Providence;
three brothers, R. A. Woods of Natchez, Miss., Herbert Woods of Lufkin, Texas,
Pollard Woods of Baton Rouge, and one grandson.

Services were held at 3 p.m. Sunday in the First Baptist Church of Montgomery
with the Rev. Roy Moore officiating.  Burial was in the Montgomery Cemetery
under direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield.
