Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 24, at the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. J. C. Creel and the Rev. Willie Broadway officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery under direction of Southern Funeral Home. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Ann Grice Wood, Winnfield; one daughter, Mrs. H. G. Peavy, and three grandchildren of Houston; five brothers, John Wood of Westlake, La., Sam Wood of Westlake, La., Sam Wood, Texarkana, Sanford of St. Joseph, Will and Lee of Winnfield; two sisters, Mrs. O. B. Thompson of Tullos and Mrs. Herbert Garrard of Winnfield; and his mother, Mrs. W. M. Wood of Winnfield.
