K. Wright Held Wednesday Services Conducted at the First Baptist Church Mrs. W. K. Wright, 61 year of age, succumbed at her home here Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock, following a prolonged illness. Funeral services were conducted on Wednesday morning at the First Baptist church with the pastor, Dr. B. C. Land in charge. He was assisted by Rev. Alwin Stokes, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church. Interment was made in the Winnfield Cemetery. Active pallbearers were nephews and a cousin of the deceased. O. A. Long of Georgetown; John W. Wright, J. E. Ray, Frank Wright Grigsby, Winnfield; Lendel White, Selma; and C. O. White, Greenville, S. C. Honorary pallbearers were Dr. Roy Wright, Dr. J. F. Faith, Dr. F. C. Fittz, Judge Cas Moss, P. K. Abel, Matt Milam, J. R. Lanier, Bill Halstead, Jim Carter, Bryant Sholars, Charles Walsworth, S. J. Harper, Mack Branch, Otho Long, J. M. Russell, Leonard Allen, Charles Walters, B. L. Horton, W. W. Allen, W. T. Heflin, C. McGinty, B. L. Anderson, L. F. Morrison, Cecil Rowe, J. M. Hyde, Bill Heard, John Carr, J. G. Pope, and John Teddlie. Mrs. Wright was born at Arcadia, La., the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. J. White. She was known by a host of friends and relatives as "Miss Pinkie". She moved with her parents to the Zion Community, Winn Parish, when a young girl. There she joined the Baptist Church and when she moved to Winnfield some 30-odd years ago she moved her membership to the church here, where she was a faithful member until her death. February 8, 1893, she was married to Wade Kelly Wright. Two children were adopted and reared by Mr. and Mrs. Wright. They are J. C. Terrill of Leesville, and Leonard Brown Wright of Winnfield. Her husband died April 18, 1928. Surviving the deceased are her mother, Mrs. A. J. White of Winnfield; two foster sons, J. C. Terrell, Leesville, La., and Leonard Brown Wright, Winnfield; four brothers, C. A. White, Selma; W. T. and W. F. White, Winnfield; and A. B. White, Greeneville, S.C. Among the out of town relatives and friends who attended the funeral of Mrs. W. K. Wright here Wednesday were, Mrs. Lela O'Laughlin, W. L. McConathy and daughter, Vermelle, Mrs. Carrie Terrell Hazen, El Dorado; Mr. and Mrs. Elmo Frazier and daughter, Longview, Tex., Mr. and Mrs. C. O. White and son, Mr. and Mrs. A. B. White and daughter, Greenville, S. C., Mr. and Mrs. John Carr and son, Eros, Mr. and Mrs. Marshall Rayburn, Mr. and Mrs. C. A. White, and Willie Dee White, J. G. Pope, W. E. Gamble, F. M.
