Officiating were the Rev. Eskel Tatum, the Rev. Calvin Phelps, and the Rev. Robert Gage. Burial was in the Garden of Memories in Winnfield under the direction of Southern Funeral Home. Mr. Wright was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Winnfield and was employed by the Shreveport Police Department. Survivors include his parents, Judge and Mrs. Hiram J. Wright, Sr. of Winnfield; one brother, Earle Wright of the U. S. Navy; two sisters, Miss Katherine Wright and Miss Mary Wright, both of Winnfield; maternal grandmother, Mrs. J. G. Morgan of Beaumont, Texas; and paternal grandmother, Mrs. H. W. Wright of Jonesville. Pallbearers included John Waters, Stanley Martin, Mark Johnson, J. D. Gray, Frank Phillips, and Ray Shell.
