At Her Home Here Funeral Services held Monday Afternoon At First Baptist Church Funeral services for Mrs. Sarah Alice Wright, 84, widow of the late Jim D. Wright, who died at her home here Sunday afternoon at three o'clock were held at the First Baptist Church Monday afternoon at three o'clock. The rites were conducted by the Rev. H. H. McBride, pastor, assisted by the Rev. Alwin Stokes, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church, and interment was made in the Winnfield Cemetery. Mrs. Wright was born in Smith County, Mississippi, and when a very small child moved to Winn Parish with her parents, John Murphy Long and Sarah Elizabeth Long. They settled in what is now Corinth Community, later moving to Winnfield. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and was one of the charter members of the present church organization, being one of the organizers. She was married to Jim D. Wright, a merchant and livestock dealer, who died in 1900. Surviving them are three sons, Dr. Roy Wright of New Orleans, James D. Wright of Winnfield, and William H. Wright of Baton Rouge; three daughters, Mrs. E. B. Harrell of DeQuincy, Mrs. D. W. Harrell of New Orleans, and Mrs. Florence Dalton of Winnfield. Mrs. Wright was the sister of the late Huey P. Long and aunt of the late Senator Huey P. Long. Pallbearers included Sheriff Bryant Sholars, Judge Cas Moss, G. M. Walsworth, Walter W. Allen, of Winnfield, Dr. C. M. Heflin of Baton Rouge, Rudolph Bernstein of Monroe, and J. W. Fowler of Shreveport. ======
