Father Of Hiram Wright Succumbs In Jonesville

Howard W. Wright, 70, died at his home in Jonesville, la., after a lengthy
illness.  He was the father of Hiram Wright of Winnfield.

Last rites were conducted Tuesday at the First Baptist Church of Jonesville
with the Rev. J. O. McMarrit officiating.  Burial was in the Heard Cemetery.

Mr. Wright, a native of Catahoula Parish, was a retired educator.  He was a
former executive secretary of the Louisiana Teachers Association, and served
as superintendent of Catahoula schools for 22 years.

He was also a member of the Four Rivers Masonic Lodge and was a deacon in the
Jonesville Baptist Church.

Survivors include his widow; three daughters, three sons; two sisters, one
brother; 13 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
