Son Of Goldonna Residents Dies In Shreveport

Funeral services for Jerry R. Wright, 29, of Shreveport were held at 2 p.m.
Friday in the New Union Baptist Church in Tullos.

Officiating were the Rev. H. E. Miles of New Union Baptist Church, the Rev.
Coda Salter of the First Baptist Church of Tullos, and the Rev. Dean Hedrick
of the Goldonna Baptist Church of Goldonna.

Burial was in the New Union Cemetery.

Mr. Wright died Wednesday, November 15, 1972 from an apparent self-inflicted
gunshot wound.

He was a native of Urania and had lived in Shreveport for eight years.  He was
a Baptist and was employed by Texas Eastern Transmission.

Survivors include his parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. C. Wright, Sr. of Goldonna; one
daughter, Terry Denean Wright of Hodge; one brother, C. C. Wright, Jr., of
Monroe, one sister, Elaine Ivy of Tullos.
