"Judge" Wright Succumbs To Heart Attack Funeral services for John W. "Judge" Wright, 45, who died of a heart attack at Clinton, Louisiana, at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, will be conducted at his home in Winnfield tomorrow (Friday) at 11 a.m. Rev. H. H. McBride, pastor of the First Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in the Winnfield Cemetery under direction of Southern Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Alonzo Reed, J. W. Teddlie, Houston Gates, Bill Halstead, A. C. Coorpender, and Frank W. Grigsby. Mr. Wright, his wife, and a friend, W. B. Breitung, of Clinton, were enroute to Winnfield from New Orleans and had eaten lunch at Clinton when Jr. Wright was stricken. He was carried to a clinic where he succumbed following two separate heart attacks. He was born and reared in Winnfield, spending most of his life here. Surviving are his wife, the former Polly Fowler, of Winnfield; two daughters, Captain Mary Olive Wright, a WAC, in New York, and Mrs. Dorothy Ann Earle, New Orleans; his mother, Mrs. Olive Wright of Winnfield; three sisters, Mrs. Frank Grigsby and Mrs. Jack Ezell of Winnfield, and Mrs. Festus Keefe of St. Louis, Mo.; two brothers, R. B. Wright and J. F. Wright of Winnfield.
