B. Walker, Sr., 54, the former Miss Viola Hutson of Dodson, La., died Wednesday, February 21, at her home in Slidell, La. She had been ill for several years and suffered a heart attack which caused her death. Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the First Baptist Church in Winnfield. Rev. W. L. Holcomb, pastor of the First Baptist Church, and Rev. P. M. Caraway, pastor of the First Methodist Church, conducted the services. Interment was in the Harmony Grove Cemetery near Gaars Mill under the direction of the Hixson Funeral Home. Pallbearers were nephews of the deceased. Mrs. Walker was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. R. L. Hutson of Dodson. She married C. B. Walker at Dodson thirty-eight years ago. She is survived by her husband; two sons, C. B. Walker, Jr., of Slidell, and R. L. Walker who is serving with the armed services in Germany; one daughter, Modelle Walker of Slidell; two granddaughters, Laverne Walker of Baton Rouge and Carmen Walker of Slidell; three brothers, J. T. Hutson of Shreveport, O. E. Hutson of Haynesville, and M. R. Hutson of Poplarville, Mississippi; and four sisters, Mrs. A. A. Berry of Pineville, Mrs. Ira B. Cole, Mrs. M. R. Berry, and Mrs. J. L. Waters of Winnfield.
