J. W. Buckner of Jonesboro were held Saturday afternoon, August 25, for Gordie Wyatt at Midway Church. The deceased was the son of Mrs. Bettie Wyatt of Jonesboro and son in law of Mr. and Mrs. Sam Pepper of the Walker Community. He was accidentally killed last week while working on a pipeline near Ansley, when a tractor driven by a fellow worker hit a stump and the man was crushed before control could be gained of the machine. Thirty-eight years of age, the deceased is survived by his wife, the former Miss Pepper and two daughters, Bettie Gene and Shirley Faye.
