She had suffered a heart attack three days before her passing. Funeral services were conducted at the Corinth Baptist Church at 2 p.m. Thursday, February 2, 1961, with the Rev. Alson Jeter officiating. Assisting with the services were the Rev. George Foster, the Rev. Louis B. Williams, and the Rev. Edward Smith. Burial was in the Corinth Cemetery under the direction of Southern Funeral Home. Mrs. Yarrick was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. R. T. Long and was a lifelong resident of the Corinth community. For a number of years she assisted her husband in the distribution of daily newspapers in this area, but for the past few months she has been employed as a practical nurse in a local hospital. Surviving are her husband, Thomas Yarrick, Winnfield; five sisters, Mrs. Ethel Whittington, Mrs. John Bassett, and Mrs. Woodrow Melton, all of Winnfield, Mrs. Buck Shepard, Delhi, and Mrs. Bill Williams, Georgetown.
