Ray Yelverton of Joyce Dies At Local Clinic

Funeral Services Will Be Held At Sikes Cemetery Friday Morning

Ray Yelverson, 17 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Yelverton of near Joyce,
died at the Fittz-Faith Clinic here Thursday morning, January 18, 1934,
following an illness of three weeks.  He was brought here Tuesday morning with
a ruptured appendix for an operation.

Funeral services will be conducted at Sikes Friday morning with the Rev. J. M.
Boyd, Baptist minister, in charge.  The youth was a member of a well known
family in this parish.  Besides his parents he is survived by seven brothers
and three sisters: Clyde of Winnfield; Hosea of Curry; Gappa, Martin, Buford,
Welcom, and Earmon of Joyce; and Misses May Lizzie, Willie Virginia, and
Bettie Ruth Yelverton, all of Joyce.
