W. A. Yelverton Funeral Services Held At Sikes

Winn Parish Farmer Dies March 17th After Long Illness

Funeral services for W. A. Yelverton, 60 years of age, who died at his home
several miles from Sikes, March 17, 1935, were held at the Sikes Baptist
Church with the pastor, M. L. Lee, in charge.  Interment was in the Sikes
Cemetery.

Mr. Yelverton was born in Ozark, Alabama, but had been a resident of Sikes for
the past thirty years.  He was a member of the Baptist Church and of the
Masonic Order.  He had been in ill health for a number of years suffering from
cancer.

He is survived by his wife and nine children, Clyde, Hosea, Buford, Martin,
Welcome, Gappa, Erman, Mae Lizzie, and Willie Vee; his mother, Mrs. H. B.
Yelverton, and two sisters, Mrs. Hatcher and Mrs. T. H. White, all of Sikes.
