E. J. Young 

E. J. Young died at the family residence in Rochelle, La., on Monday, April
30, 1928, at 5:30 a.m. after a prolonged illness at the age of 74 years, 1
month, and 8 days.

Deceased was born in Pelahatchie County, Miss., where he lived until 38 years
ago when he came to Louisiana, residing in Calcasieu and Winn Parishes before
coming to Rochelle.

He was a devout Christian and a member of the Latter Day Saints Church.  He
was a highly esteemed citizen, honored and respected by all who knew him.

Surviving are the widow and the following children: Mrs. Willie Jones of
Morton, Miss.; Jesse Young of Shreveport; Mrs. Preston Mobley of Bentley; Eben
Young of Hodge; Mrs. W. C. Dunn, Otho Young, Oren Young, of Rochelle, Mrs. Roy
Nugent of Selma, and Mrs. C. H. McCartney of Winnfield.  Eighteen
grandchildren and four great grandchildren also survive.  

Funeral services were conducted by an elder of the Latter Day Saints Church
and interment was in the Christian Hope Cemetery at Georgetown.
