Last Rites Held For James R. Young Of Dodson, June 8

Last rites for James R. Young, 78, who died at the home of his daughter, Mrs.
Artie Bearden, of Dodson, were held June 8 at the Gansville Church, with the
Rev. Roy Grant in charge.  Assisting were the Rev. C. M. Robinson, the Rev.
Ardis Smith, and the Rev. Elbert Brown.  Burial was in the Gansville Cemetery
under the direction of Southern Funeral Home.

Acting as pallbearers were the following grandsons of the deceased: Leroy,
Jim, Verlon and Harold Young, and James and Charlie Bearden.  

A farmer, Mr. Young had retired several years ago because of ill health since
which time he had made his home with his daughter.

Surviving are four sons and four daughters: James Young, Dodson; Warner Young,
Eros; Warren Young, Benton; Elmer Young of the U. S. Armed Forces, overseas;
Mrs. Harriett Green, Winnfield; Mrs. Artie Bearden, Dodson; Mrs. George Smiley
and Mrs. Lillian Fox, Winnfield.
