Please use the search engine for a more complete listing. ========================================================================== List of names in this file: George Tullos Sophia Womack ========================================================================== December 29, 1933 George Tullos, 69, Dies At His Home Here Wednesday Funeral Services And Interment at Beech Creek Thursday Mr. George Tullos, 69 years old, died at his home here at noon Wednesday following a short illness of two weeks. Although he had been in ill health for about a year, his condition was not considered critical until he became bedfast a few days ago. Funeral services were held at Beech Creek where interment was made Thursday afternoon with the Rev. Bridges of Urania in charge of the burial rites. Mr. Tullos has been a citizen of Winn Parish for many years, having moved here from his boyhood home of near Urania. He was a member of Union Baptist Church at Joyce. Surviving him are his widow and the following children: Russell Tullos, Mrs. Aaron McMurry, Theresa Tullos, and Mrs. Emma James, all of Winnfield; Mrs. B. G. Pasco of Zenoria; Mrs. Ben Babcock of Urania, and Quentin Tullos of Shreveport. Two children preceded him in death. ======== December 22, 1933 Aunt Sophia Womack Is Laid To Rest At Zion Hill Monday Funeral services were held Monday afternoon for Mrs. Sophia Womack, age 92, who died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Sam Blake at Oak Grove Sunday morning. "Aunt Sophia" as she was known to a wife circle of friends was one of the pioneers of this section, having lived at Gaars Mill almost all her life until she made her home with her daughter at Oak Grove a few years ago. The only surviving member of her immediate family is Mrs. Sam Blake at whose home she died.
