McMurry Dies Dec. 18 Mrs. Abbie Jernigan, 89, of Woodville, Texas, died Friday, Decemer 18, 1970 in a Woodville hospital after a long illness. She was the mother of Mrs. J. W. McMurry of Atlanta. Last rites were conducted Saturday in Woodville with burial in the Colmesneil Cemetery. Grandsons and nephews acted as pallbearers. Besides Mrs. McMurry, survivors include two other daughters, two son, 18 grandchildren, and 18 great grandchildren. December 24, 1970 Miss Tullos, 72, Dies; Interment At Beech Creek Miss Theresa C. Tullos, 72, of Winnfield, died at 5:20 p.m. Sunday, December 20, 1970 in Winnfield General Hospital. She is survived by a brother, Russell Tullos of Winnfield, and three sisters, Mrs. B. G. Pasco, Mrs. Aaron C. McMurray, and Mrs. J. L. James, Sr., all of Winnfield. Funeral services were held at 3:30 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Southern Funeral Home with Rev. Willie W. Broadway officiating. Burial was in Beech Creek Cemetery. December 24, 1970 A. T. "Jack" Watts Succumbs; Rites Held Thursday Ardis Talton "Jack" Watts, 63, died Wednesday, December 16, in Winnfield General Hospital after a lengthy illness. He was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John T. Watts. He was a carpenter belong to the carpenter's Local 18131 before early retirement due to ill health. Jack was a native of South Winnfield. Survivors include a brother, John A. Watts of Haughton and a sister, Jewel W. Buffington of Winnfield. Funeral services were conducted at 3 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Southern Funeral Home with Rev. Gage of the Presbyterian Church, assisted by Rev. Wicker of the South Winnfield Baptist Church officiating. Acting as pallbearers were Arnet Garriss, James Russell, Harper Terrill, Henry Nugent, Henry Bates, Melton Hightower, Troy Smith, and H. E. Crawford. Interment was in the Winnfield Cemetery under direction of Southern Funeral Home. Among the out of town friends attending the funeral were Howard Gardener and Edwin Simpson of Ruston, Mr. and Mrs. Carmon Johnson of Memphis. December 24, 1970 Miss Wilson, 90, Dies; Burial At Sanders Chapel Miss Trudie Wilson, 90, of Calvin, died Monday, December 21, 1970. She was a native of Winn Parish. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Southern Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Charles Thornton officiating. Burial was in the Sanders Chapel Cemetery. She is survived by a number of nieces and nephews.
