HISTORICAL NOTES:

     Pictured above are William Reedis (Bud) Griffin and his wife, Ethelinda
Carpenter Griffin. William lived his entire life in this community.  He was
born here 12 Aug 1862, the youngest of seven children born to William and Mary
Battle Griffin.  Ethelinda was born in Tishomingo County, MS 13 May 1865. Her
parents were Solomon and Rhoda Hardin Carpenter.
