This picture of the Robert and Susan Elizabeth Thornton Emmons family was
probably made at their home near Gaar's Mill around 1920. Robert and Susan
are the elderly couple standing on the porch at the center of the picture.
The man to their left wearing a suit and facing toward them is Winfred S.
Emmons, principal, merchant, farmer, and ultimately mayor, at Sikes. He was
my wife's father.
