Quincy Anson Hargis
b. 16 Oct. 1825, Lawrence Co., MS,
d. 25 Jun. 1899, Grant Parish, LA.

He moved to Winnfield abt. 1851-2 where he was an early doctor of the area
and owner of a drugstore. Quincy married Clementine Havard, 4 Oct. 1849, in
Caldwell Parish. They were the parents of 14 children, one of whom was
Ildephonso Albinos (Bine) Hargis, the only son buried in Winn Parish, near
Cockerham Cemetery.
