Born 1835 in Mississippi and moved to Winn Parish a few years later with his
family. Settled in the St. Maurice-Cedar Bluff-Coochie Brake area. Died in
1902 and is buried in the Lyon-Pearre Cemetery about five miles off highway
84, near the old Couley Church in Winn Parish, LA. (Great-great grandfather
of submitter.)
