The first photo taken of his head stone a few minutes after we found it, April 1, 2001.

This is just a little informatation on my GG-granfather Daniel Boyett: 
Daniel Boyett was born in Georgia in the year 1815.He married Talitha Cumi Underwood in Alabama in the 1840.In the year 1850 Daniel,Talitha & children,Daniel's brother Bennett J Boyett,his wife Fatama Underwood (Sister to Talitha) and family friend Timothy F. Smith ,and his wife Sarah & family left Covington Co.,Alabama and settled in the Easten Part of Winn Parish.Daniel, Bennett J.,and Timothy F. Smith were some of the first land owners of Winn Parish. 
Daniel died in 1860 of Typhoid pneumonia at age 44, Bennett J died in 1862,killed by Mad Dog Smith while he was sitting on his front porch.Daniel's oldest son John William Boyett,that married Cynthia James were my G-grandparents.Their son Robert Elijah Boyett ( the deputy Sheriff killed in the line of duty in Winnfield May 1, 1926) Was my grandfather and grandson to Daniel Boyett. 

I would like to thank my James Decendant cousins Roy Johnson, Jimmie Newsom, Doland Adams,& Hubert Adams for helping me in my search for my GG-grandfather Daniel Boyett grave site.
