GEN. THOMAS WOODWARD- 650 Coon Trail Rd., Wheeling area

This is another of Winn Parish’s "lost" cemeteries and extremely difficult to locate. Travel La. Hwy. 34 southwest out of
Winn Parish and 1.3 miles into Grant Parish. Turn left or north onto Coon Trail Rd. Travel 4.2 miles north on Coon Trail
Rd. to an overhead power line/high line. Turn left or west onto the high line and travel approximately 3/10 of a mile to a
trail on right. Trail opening has been marked with sheriff’s crime scene tape. Travel trail (trail borders private land on
left or west and Plum Creek land on right or east) north approximately 3/10 of a mile to another trail on left, cemetery
is approximately 100 yards west-northwest on this trail. A deer stand in a tree is within 25 yards of the grave vaults,
apparently to the northwest. T9N R4W Sec. 30.
