Rufus Shelby Walsh
Rufus Shelby Walsh was born in Lebanon, Wilson Co, TN, on December 23, 1879.
He was the son of M. Lafayette Walsh and Brunette Hearne. Rufus married
Elizabeth Tannehill in Winnfield, Winn Parish, on April 15, 1910. Their five
children were Rufus, Richard (my grandfather), George, Joseph and Donovan.
Rufus died in 1948.

Elizabeth "Bessie" Tannehill
Elizabeth "Bessie" Tannehill was the daughter of Richard Lafayette Tannehill
and Maria Elizabeth Sellinger. Bessie was born in Winn Parish on September
12, 1887, according to the family bible. She married Rufus Shelby Walsh in
Winnfield, Winn Parish, on April 15, 1910. Their five children were Rufus,
Richard (my grandfather), George, Joseph and Donovan. Bessie died in January
1975 in the town where she lived all her life.
