THE WINNFIELD-NEWS AMERICAN Friday, September 24, 1937 COLVIN - KELLY Announcement was made this week of the marriage of Miss Alice Dale Kelly, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Posey Kelly of Dodson to William Calvin Colvin, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Colvin, Sr. of Winnfield, on Sunday, September 26th [sic] in Eunice. Rev. E. M. Williamson, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Eunice, performed the ceremony. Mrs. Colvin has for the past few years been (a) very popular and outstanding student in the Dodson High School, of which she is a graduate of the class of 1937. Mr. Colvin is employed by one of the local firms. The young couple was accompanied to Eunice by Herbert Johnson and other witnesses were Miss Anna Belle Guillory of Chataigneir. The couple will be at home to their many friends in the apartments of Mrs. H. J. Rogers on Maple Street. NOTE: Announcement has date of marriage as Sept. 26 but appears in the Sept. 24 issue of the paper.
