Show Parish Judge STATE OF LOUISIANA} PARISH OF CALDWELL} To any ordained Minister of the Gospel Domiciliated within the parish and State aforesaid or to any Judge or Justice of the Peace legally authorized to celebrate marriages within the Same place _________ _ You are hereby authorised and fully empowered to unite in the Bonds of Matrimony and Holy Wedlock Mr. Redick Blake and Miss Adocia Henderson, both residents of the Parish of Catahoula in said State, and to celebrate and solemnize the said marriage between the parties above mentioned according to the Laws and Customs of the State of Louisiana and make your return hereof as the Law directs and this Your authority for so doing - Given under my hand & Seal of Office on this 13th day of February AD 1846 Wm P. Show Parish Judge Seneca Pace Redick Blake Wm Goodson Adochia Henderson Know all men by thses presents that we Redick Blake as principal and Seneca Pace his security are held and firmly bound unto the Governor of the State of Louisiana and his superiors in office for the time being in the sum of Two hundred & fifty Dollars to the payment whereof will and truly to be made we bind our Heirs & family by these presents signed and dated this 13th Feb 1846. The consideration of the above obligation is such that whereas there is a marriage about to take place between the Said Redick Blake and Miss Adocia Henderson both Residents of the Parish of Catahoula. Now if there does not excess any legal impedement to the said ________ marriage the above obligation to be null and void else to ________in full force and Virtue as the law in such cases made and provided.
