THE WINNFIELD-NEWS AMERICAN Friday, June 17, 1938 SIMMONS-HORTON Mr. and Mrs. W[illiam] R[oderick] Horton announce the marriage of their daughter, Margaret Lucille, to Mr. William D[ebs]Simmons of Sikes. The marriage was solemnized at the First Baptist Church Friday, June 10th at 4:30 o'clock with Dr. B. C. Land officiating. The bride is a popular member of the younger social set and is a descendent of one of the oldest and most esteemed families of this section, the Teagle family. She is an employee in the office of the Carey Salt Company here. Mr. Simmons is the son of Mr. and Mrs. J[oseph] H[ugh] Simmons of Sikes, and has been in the employ of the AAA cotton adjustment office here since its organization. The couple left for Shreveport Friday afternoon immediately following the marriage ceremony and return Sunday afternoon. They are located at the home of Mrs. A. M. Douglas.
