THE WINNFIELD-NEWS AMERICAN Friday, April 22, 1938 RICHARDSON-TESAR The marriage of Miss Hattie Ann Tesar to Robert Leo Richardson took place Friday evening in Port Arthur, Texas at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Higgs, on Seventh street with the Rev. R. E. Day, pastor of the First Baptist church, officiating. The ceremony was performed before an improvised alter, flanked by tall baskets filled with pink carnations and talisman roses, intermingled with fern. Elsewhere about the home were lovely radiance roses and the fragrant carnations and fern. The bride, who was given in marriage by John Higgs, was attired in a silk crepe suite [sic] with bolero jacket and her blouse was of Roosevelt blue. Her accessories were in navy and she wore a corsage of sweetheart roses and for-get-me-nots. The bride's table being centered with a two-tiered wedding cake of shell pink topped with a minature [sic] bride and groom and circled with lacy fern and sweetheart roses. Mrs. Laura Beard served the cake and Mesdames George Walston and J. R. Lard presided over the punch bowl. More than fifty guests attended. Mr. and Mrs. Richardson left during the evening for a wedding trip to Flatonia, San Antonio and Wimberly, Texas, and Winnfield, Louisiana. Upon their return to Port Arthur, they will make their home at 1332 seventh street. Both are will known here. Mrs. Richardson is a graduate of Flatonia high school and attended Industrial Arts college at Kingsville. For the past three years she has been connected with Dr. R. L. Coon as technician. Mr. Richardson is a graduate of Winnfield high school and Port Arthur College. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Richardson of Winnfield and is an employe [sic] of The Texas Company.
