M. Alford of the same State and Parish aforesaid, of the second part, The following parcel or tract of land being situated in the Parish of Winn to-wit: The West of the N.W. ª & N. E. ª NW ª, Section No. 32, Township Range 1 East Containing 120 acres 1/100 of an acre Together with all improvements thereon. We bind ourselves heirs and assigns to warrant and defend forever the title of the above Jas. M. Alford This sale is made for an in consideration of Seventy-five Dollars in cash paid in hand, The receipt of which is hereby acknowledged this done read and signed in the presence of the subscribing witnesses comicilated in the Parish of Winn State of Louisiana. Southern one of the Attesting witnesses to above Act of Sale who being by me first duly sworn, deposes and says that he saw the vendors sign their names in the following manner to-wit: Tempy J. King, Amanda Emmons, Armindria King, and C. A. King, by making their cross (X) mark to same after their names were written and W. S. King, Selenia McCarty, Rugus S. King, Serrenty Beavers and J. M. Alford the vendee signed their own names to said Act of Sale, that he saw his co-witnesses John Thornton and W. S. King sign their names as such and he now recognizes his signature to same to be genuine So help him God. Sworn to and subscribed before me on this 23 day of November A. D. 1883. S. L. Southern J. M. King one of the attesting witnesses to above Act of Sale who being by me first duly sworn, deposes and says that he signed the above Act of Sale as a vendee of witness for the purpose therein expressed that he also saw his co-witness to wit Anna S. King sign by making her cross (X) to same after name was written & Permilia Thornton signed her own name. that he saw his co-witness John Thornton sign his name to same as such & he recognizes his signature as a vendor witness to same to be genuine So help him God.
