Lost overboard, November 13th, off Race Point from schr MINNA of Harwich, Mr. Leonard CLARK of Harwich, aged 28 years. He has left a wife and six children. The man's foot, boot and stocking, the latter marked LC (which drifted ashore early in December near P'town) belonged to Mr. C. His wife identified the mark on the stocking. Lost overboard, November 28th, from packet barque TURK on the passage from Philadelphia to Boston, Mr. Joseph HOWES of Chatham, aged 30 years. He has left a wife and two children. The body which washed ashore on the back part of Truro about the same time, was identified by the clothing to be that of Mr. H. Lost overboard, January 13th, off Cape Fear, from barque HERAILIA, on the passage from Boston to Charleston, Henry PARKER, seaman. He fell from the foretopsail yard, while close-reefing the sail, every exertion was made to save him, but in vain. January 30, 1845 In West Brewster, 21st inst., of scarlet fever, Sarah Hall, only child of Samuel R. and Susannah SEARS, aged 9 years and 1 month. In Fairhaven, on Saturday last, Mrs. Mehitable, widow of Mr. John SWIFT of Falmouth, aged about 63 years. Her remains have ben brought to Falmouth for interment. In Wareham, 14th inst., Mrs. Jemimah S., wife of Michael ROBBINSON, and daughter of Prince PERRY of Sandwich. She had been married only about five weeks. The day before her death she arose in her usual health and while performing her labor, was taken suddenly ill and in less that 18 hours was a corpse. Lost overboard, 3d inst., from brig SUN on the passage from Boston to Philadelphia, Franklin MALLOWS of Chatham, aged 17 years. Lost overboard from barque YARMOUTH going down the Delaware, Mr. otis RYDER, aged about 28 years, son of Mr. Isaac RYDER of Yarmouth. In Edgartown, 27th inst., suddenly, Mrs. Hannah, wife of Capt. Chase PEASE, aged 65. In Newbury, Belleville, on the 11th, Mr. Daniel FLANDERS, aged 84 years and 9 months. He fought the battles of his country in the Revolutionary War. Died, the 16th inst., at the residence of her parents in South Yarmouth, after a short but severe illness, Miss Hannah G. TRIPP, in the 18th year of her age. Died, in Monument, Massachusetts, January 13, 1845, after an illness of about two days, Mrs. Elizabeth, wife of Capt. Seth BURGESS and daughter of Reuben COLLINS, aged 32. February 6, 1845 East Dennis, 31st ult., of consumption, Miss Emily, daughter of Capt. William HALL, aged 19 years. In Pocasset, on Wednesday, 22d ult., Miss Thankful WING, aged 50 years. Miss WING has been confined to her bed for the last 26 years, or more than half of her life and has been afflicted with disease more than 20 years. In Seekonk, Massachusetts, January 23d of canker rash, John Carnes, son of John C. WELSH, Pastor of the Baptist Church in that place, aged 2 years. Also, on the 29th, of the same disease, James Ridgway, 9 months. These were the only sons of the bereaved parents. It is remarkable that Mr. WELSH was called to part with his only two sons, John and James by the same disease within one week, in November and December, 1831. Lost overboard, 25th ult., from brig SOUTHER on the passage from Port au Prince for Boston, Capt. John HARDY, master. He ws a very enterprising ship master, much esteemed by his employers. He has left a wife and thee children in Newburyport. February 13, 1845 In Sandwich, on the 8th inst., William A., infant son of Zenas R. and Elizabeth R. HINCKLEY, aged 4-1/2 months. In Edgartown, 8th inst., Mrs. Sarah GAGE, wife of Dr. J.T.E. GAGE, formerly of New Bedford, 31. In Hingham, 29th ult., Mr. Ezekiel HERSEY, 84. He was connected with the same religious society for more than 75 years and probably heard more than 8,000 sermons. He was also a Revolutionary pensioner. At his residence in the Parish of Iberville, Louisiana, William GORHAM, Esq., a native of Barnstable, Massachusetts and a resident of Louisiana for more than 30 years. Mr. G. was one of the few survivors who were at the lines on the 8th of January 1815, and was much esteemed for his noble qualities by all classes of his numerous friends. April 24, 1845 In Hyannis, on Saturday last, Hannah L., daughter of Charles and Adeline BAKER, aged 1 year and 1 month. In February last the second daughter of these bereaved parents was also suddenly torn from them by the same disease, dropsy on the brain. In Greenwich, 12th inst., Mrs. Mehitable SEARS, 101 years old. May 8, 1845 In Yarmouth Port, 3d inst., suddenly, Mrs. Mary, widow of Mr. Abner HALLET, aged 82 years. It is related as a rather singular circumstance that the deceased during the whole course of her life never went the distance of five miles east or west of the place where she died. A journey which she once made to Point Gammon (a distance of 8 miles) was the remarkable event in her unusually serene life. In Osterville, after an illness of two weeks, Julia Adeline LOVELL, youngest child of George and Adeline LOVELL, aged 3 years and 10 months. In Orleans, 21st ult., Mrs. Olive, wife of Mr. Theophilus MAYO. May 15, 1845 In Falmouth, April 30th, Deacon Braddock DIMMOCK in the 84th year of his age. Deacon D. was one of a few survivors of the Revolutionary struggle. For more than twenty years he was a member of the State Legislature. He was an officer of the first Congregational Church in Falmouth 35 years. In Eastham, 10th inst., James, son of Mr. Samuel MAYO, aged 18 years. In Boston, 4th inst., Ann Louisa, daughter of Edward FISHER, 4 years and 2 months. In York, Maine, Robert E., eldest son of Capt. George MOODY, 19 years. At Isle of Shoals, April 30th, Mr. Ephraim DOW, age 26. He had gone out on a gunning excursion in a boat and his paddle striking the lock of his gun which was loaded, the whole charge passed into one of his legs, severing the arteries and causing him to bleed to death. May 22, 1845 In Sandwich, 13th inst., Mr. Zeno LAWRENCE, aged about 40. Mr. LAWRENCE was keeper of the Alms House in Sandwich. In Wellfleet, 1st inst., Mr. Stephen YOUNG, a Revolutionary pensioner, aged 84 years. In Fall River, 10th inst., of lung fever, Luzetta Amelia, youngest daughter of Mr. Frederick and Mrs. Alcy R. MAGOUN, aged 1 year and 10 months. In Chatham, in April, Mary Holmes, daughter of Mr. Benjamin ELDRIDGE, aged about 4 years. Lost overboard, from brig COMMAQUID on the passage from Hull to New York, 17th inst., lat. 40-1/2, long. 68, Peter ADAMS, seaman. He fell from the main topgallant mast. June 5, 1845 In Sandwich, 22d ult., of consumption, Charles H., son of Col. Ebenezer CHAMBERLAIN, aged 9 years. In Eastham, 27th ult., Mr. John HOPKINS, a Revolutionay soldier, aged 87. He was in the battle of Bunker Hill and was afterwards taken in a naval engagement and imprisoned in Halifax several years. He had enjoyed good health till a few days before he died when he experienced a paralytic shock. In Boston, 29th ult., of consumption, Mr. Ebenezer SEARS, son of Charles SEARS, Esq., aged 27 years. The remains of the deceased, after funeral service at the house of the father, were interred in the burying ground in this village on Sunday afternoon last. The procession was the largest ever seen in this vicinity on a similar occasion. In Nauvoo, Illinois, April 8th, Mr. Silas TUPPER, a native of Sandwich, 71. June 12, 1845 In this town, 9th inst., Mrs. Sarah, wife of Capt. Isaac WHITE in the 71st year of her age. In Barnstable, 9th inst., Susan P., infant child of Mr. Prince HINCKLEY, 14 months. In New Bedford, 3d ult., at the residence of her son, Mrs. Lucy, widow of Timothy HINCKLEY of Barnstable. Her remains were brought to Marston's Mills for interment. In Newburyport, 6th inst., Hiram, son of Mr. Hiram CUSHING, 2 years, death occasioned by falling from a third story window a week previous. In Augusta, Georgia recently, Mrs. Maria CAMPBELL, "The situation of the slaves at the South lay near her heart and during many years she devoted much of her strength and many also of her feeble and sickly hours, to their teaching and guidance and when the laws forbade the use of books, she taught them verbally of God and duty." July 3, 1845 In Barnstable, suddenly, on Friday night last, at the residence of Capt. Thomas PERCIVAL, Kimball R., only child of Capt. K.R. SMITH, aged 18 months. In West Sandwich, 13th ult., Cap. Elisha SIFT, aged 27 years. In Boston, 24th ult., of consumption, Mr. Rufus NEWCOMB, 37. In Kensington, New Hampshire, 24th ult., at the residence of his father, Dr. Henry TUCK of Barnstable, aged 37 years. His remains were brought to Barnstable and entombed on Friday last. Dr. TUCK was born in Kensington and received his early education in the schools of New Hampshire. He studied his profession with Dr. George HAYWARD of Boston. Without the advantages of a collegiate preparation, he supplied the deficiency by close application and early secured the approbation of the public as an emminent physician and surgeon. About 12 years ago, he came to Barnstable and soon engaged in an extensive practice which continued to increase until his business was much larger and more lucrative than any other practitioner's in the County. The sudden decease in the prime of life of so useful a man, is calculated to impress us anew with the impropriety of fixing our affections on early objects. Lost overboard, June 29th, before daylight, from a schooner, reported the BROOKHAVEN of Edgartown, Capt. BERRY, for Philadelphia, which put into New York same night, a seaman named William CUMMINS, supposed to belong to Maine or New Brunswick. He was heard to call out after he fell. A plank was thrown over and he was directed to swim for the vessel, which was put about immediatly and the plank found, but nothing was seen of the man. July 7th, Mr. Simeon TAYLOR, aged about 50 years. 9th, Mr. Thomas J. SMITH, aged about 34 years. 16th, Mr. Sullivan HOPKINS, aged 26 years. 18th, Mrs. Mercy SPARROW, aged 35 years. The gentleman who handed in this list stated that all these deaths occured in one small neighborhood in the town of Orleans. Such frequent instances of mortality are unusual there. COOK of schr WILLIS PUTNAM, 39. In New Bedford, 18th inst., Mr. Job CHASE, 77. Ellen Bruce, daughter of John H. and Ann M. KELLEY, 16 months and 18 days. In Unity, Maine, Mrs. Hannah, relict of Hon. Stephen CHASE, 106 years and 12 days. She was born in Swanzey Maine (Massachusetts), May 27, 1739. She left 10 children, 66 grandchildren, 160 great-grandchildren, and 12 of the fifth generation. There were about 150 of her descendants present at her funeral and 130 walked in the funeral train. In Singapore, February 27th, Capt. F.H. ROGERS of Beverly, Massachusetts, 41, late master of brig GEORGE RYAN and formerly of Portland.
