Hector COFFIN, well known as a distinguished and enterprising shipmaster, aged 63. In Nantucket, January 2d, Mr. Davis GORHAM, 60. January 3d, Mr. Alexander FOLGER of Barnstable, aged 72. Mr. FOLGER was on a visit to his son on the Island, and was in his usual health on the morning of the day of his death, but was suddenly attacked with a shock of the palsy, which caused his death in a very short time. He was much respected as a citizen and his death will be deplored by relatives and friends. January 22, 1846 In this village, Tuesday night, Mr. Blaney LEWIS, aged 41. In East Sandwich, January 16th, Mr. John HOLLEY, a member of the Society of Friends, aged about 65. In Pittsford, Monroe County, New York, Mr. John H. WINSLOW, formerly of Enfield, Massachusetts, 69. In Gloucester, Capt. Thomas DAVIS, 70. He arose apparently in his usual health and expired very suddenly, while in the act of clearing a path in the snow at nine in the morning. January 29, 1846 In Yarmouth Port, last Friday morning, of consumption, Mr. Theodore MATTHEWS, aged 24 years. On Monday morning last, only child of the late Jon W. and Mrs. Lucy GRAY, aged 6 months. Nathan CROWELL and daughter of Alexander HOWES, aged 33. In Chatham, 15th inst., very suddenly, Capt. Enos ELDRIDGE, aged 33. Capt. ELDRIDGE had been sick nearly two years and for many weeks was confined to his room. For some months past he had been able to be about and at the time of his death was engaged in teaching a school. He ate his dinner as usual, stepped out of the door, ruptured a blood vessel and expired in a few minutes. PAINE, aged 3 years and 4 months. In Hyannis, May 31st, Mr. Ezra ELDRIDGE, in the 75th year of his age, after three days sickness. He had enjoyed good health for the most part of his life and had been a hard laboring man, working till the very day he was taken sick. He left a wife, 4 sons, 6 daughters, 4 granddaughters, 6 grandsons, 57 grandchildren (?); and one brother, having had two wives. In Dennis, on Friday night last, a child of Mr. John HALL, aged about 2 years. In South Dennis, on Sunday last, Capt. David BRAY. Drowned, in Falmouth 22d ult., Elisha Fearing, son of Capt. Andrew and Mrs. Celia F.SHIVERICK, aged 20 months. The little fellow followed a dog to a pond near the house. He was missed in a few minutes and his father ran to the pond and found him lying face downwards on the water. He could not be resuscitated. In North Falmouth, May 30th, Hannah Crocker, infant child of Thomas and Susan NYE, aged 10 weeks. In New Bedford, May 15th, Miss Lucy J. CROCKER, 34. Drowned, at Nantucket, May 27th, Mr. Alexander MACY 2d, aged 24. He was returning from Tuckernuck in a sailboat when it was capsized by a flaw of wind and sunk. Mr. Joseph KELLEY who was also in the boat, succeeded in swimming to the land. In Boston, 21st ult., Mr. Lot CHADWICK, formerly of Falmouth, about 30. June 25, 1846 In this village, on Thursday last, of consumption, Mrs. Sally H., wife of Mr. Joseph HALE and daughter of Mr. Andrew HALLET, aged 39. In Hyannis Port, on Tuesday last, at the residence of Mr. Eli HINCKLEY, Mr. _____ WILDER, formerly of Middleboro, aged 70. He was found dead in his bed in the morning. He ws well the day before. At the Union Seminary in North Fairhaven, June 17th, after a days illness, Lydia NICKERSON, granddaughter of Jeremiah WALKER, late of Harwich, aged 39 years. Her body was immediately conveyed to West Harwich. In Falmouth, 14th inst., Eustance, infant son of Thomas and Lucretia KING, 2 years and 8 days. In Centreville, 16th inst., of consumption, Mrs. Adeline, wife of Mr. James CORNISH and daughter of Mr. Freeman KELLEY, aged about 30. At sea, near Cape Verd Islands, on board schr COSMOPOLITE of Baltimore, March 17th, James T. BERRY, about 40; and on the 22d, John SMITH, 19, seamen - both of Massachusetts, the former leaving a wife and five children.
