Written: June 2, 1796

Nathan Wood of German Flats, Herkimer County, New York, yeoman, to Charles 
Bishop of Pittsfield, yeoman; $5.00; quit-claimed land in Pittsfield adjoining 
heirs of Nehemiah Tracy, Hezekiah & Cornelius Luce; 25 1/2 acres which I deeded 
to said Bishop but the deed having since been consumed by fire prior to its 
having been recorded.  No wife signed the deed.  (Berkshire Co. Land Records, 
36: 72)
