Mrs. Abigail Jarvis ????? (no date) Their marriage was Solemized 12 January 1783. I Nathaniel B. Williams Clerk of the town of Lanesboro certify that the above is a true copy of the record in fair legable figures with the exeption of the date which is certified (?????) the record in fair legable figures as follows. "Their marriage was solemized Jan. 12th 1783" I Nathaniel B. Williams above named deposeth and say that I hold the office of Clerk in the town of Lanesboro county of Burkshire??? state of Massachusetts and the above is a true extract from the records of the town with the exeption aboe named as certified by me. Nathaniel B. Williams Clerk of the town of Lanesboro Abigail Jarvis made her deposition in the State of Massachusetts county of Burkshire(?????) 9 October 1838. Abigail Jarvis deposition restates the same information and also gives some details of Joseph Jarvis service. Joseph Jarvis enlised as a private in the Revolutionary War in 1775 and again in 1776 this time at St. Johns in the month of June. In 1780 he again perforned service in an expedition against the indians under Col. John Brown. He enlisted the 1st of July. He was at the engagement at Stone Robby(????) under Col. Brown. She states Joseph Jarvis died on 17 October 1806(????) This document was very difficult to read. Questionable words are marked by ????.
