The earliest burial appears to be Jan 1744 and the latest being Mar 1829. Directions: From Rte. I-93, take exit 42 Dascomb Rd. Follow Dascomb Rd. towards Tewksbury for .2 mile. Dascomb Rd. becomes East St. Follow East St. for 2.4 miles. You will see Tewksbury Cemetery on the right. Old Burial Grounds is on the left just past Lee St. and some new Condos being built. This cemetery is close to the center of town and is under the control of Tewksbury Cemetery Commission. It is in fairly good shape, being mowed and safely surrounded by rock walls; protecting it well from the new construction. Year of his age. • Here lied buried the body of John Hardy, Jun., son of Mr. John & Mrs. Abigail Hardy, died Feb 16, 1764, in ye 20 year of his age. • In Memory Of Mrs. Ruth Kendal, wife of Deac. Ezra Kendal, who deceased Feb 14th, 1753, in the 28th year of her age.
