O. Jameson (1886) LOUIS LA CROIX, ESQ. LOUIS LA CROIX, son of James and Mary S. (Hodges) La Croix, was born Sept. 8, 1851, in East Medway. His education was obtained in the schools of Medway, and he gained the reputation of being an apt scholar and a thorough student. He was for some time engaged in business with his father, but abandoned manufacturing pursuits to become one of the tillers of the soil. He carried on quite an extensive farm in the northern portion of the town. Mr. La Croix was chosen, in 1885, the first Town Clerk and Treasurer of the town of Millis, Mass.
