Go 1. 5 miles and take a left at the lights onto Oak St. Follow Oak St. about .2 mile; and Oakland St. is on your right. The cemetery runs the length of Oakland St. between Oak St. and Orchard St. It is apparently under the care of the Randolph Historical Commission. I had written them and let them know that I planned to transcribe from the stones; never heard back. I began this project on Oct. 17, 2004; and found out it was larger than expected. I continued on Oct. 18, 2004; and then ran out of time before it got too cold. I finally got a chance to go back to complete it on May 14, 2005! I also have several photos to send you of the overall cemetery and the inscription on the rock at the entrance, which states, "Oakland Cemetery - Laid out by Capt. Seth Mann, 1792; Burial of Revolutionary War Soldiers---Randolph Historic Commission". The condition is pretty good at this site. There are several stones down; and many which were impossible to read. A few stones were broken and re-glued. There are a few names with no death date; some are obiously not still with us, some could still be; so I don't know how to handle that, i.e. privacy. I will include all names. I began at the back which is the oldest section and made my way to the front. This is a complete listing of all visible stones. I have noted stones which are broken, laying down and/or unreadable.
