Some 20 years ago, the tomb could be seen. The front was open and accessible. A fallen square, granite lintel stone lay in front and I personally found the Hudson name engraved on it. But the inscription was face down and only by digging with bare hands and uncovering the letters was I able to make out the lettering. ********************************************************************************************* From Rt. 106 West, bear right onto Washington Street just prior to a small restaurant, "Pub 106". Travel about 1/2 mile to a small store, "Country Convenience", and take Pond St. to the right. Follow about 3/4 mile where Hudson Street is on the left. The tomb was located on the far (left side) corner. I do not know where the lintel stone is at the present time but if found, I will report its location.
