Travel approximately 3/4 mile to a set of blinking yellow lights and take a left onto East St. Go about 4 tenths of a mile and at the farm, take a right onto West Union Street. The graveyard is surrounded by a fence on the right hand side about 300 yards up the road but is located a distance into the field and is hard to see. Unfortunately there are many new houses along that side so you should seek permission to cross their property. From Rt. 18 - from the North... Approximately 6 tenths of a mile from the East Bridgewater/Whitman town line, turn right at traffic lights onto Highland St. Follow to the end turning left onto Elm St. Follow to the end, being careful as there are two forks in the road. At the first, 30 yards from the stop sign, bear left. At the second fork, about 1/4 mile ahead, bear right. At the end of Elm St., turn right onto North Central St., follow North Central St. 1/4 mile taking a slight left. This is a dangerous intersection and you must give the right of way to the traffic entering from your right! Go about 1/2 mile and merge onto West Union St. Go over the railroad bridge and the grave yard will be on the left about 100 yards. See above. From Rt. 18 - from the South... At the traffic lights in the center of East Bridgewater, take a slight left hand turn onto Central St.. Follow Central St. (turns into North Central) to the bad intersection mentioned above and follow as above ********************************************************************************************* "A private yard of Richard Thayer and family on the South side of the road, near his late dwelling house has one monumental shaft and several inscriptions thereon, with small stones indicating place of burial, to wit: North side - Age (by transcriber) Richard Thayer born March 7, 1759 died Mch. 5, 1845 85 (shy 2 days of 86) Eunice Thayer " Apr. 4, 1765 " Aug. 28, 1823 58 Huldah Thayer " Sept. 20, 1795 " Sept. 23, 1849 54 East side - Richard Thayer " Aug. 11, 1798 " Oct. 15, 1877 79 Ann Snell (wife of Richard Thayer) " Dec. 23, 1800 " Dec. 22, 1875 75 South side - Earl Thayer " Aug. 13, 1787 " May 14, 1861 74 Orra - his wife " June 15, 1785 " Nov. 28, 1823 38 West side Isaac Fish " 1790 " June 6, 1873 83 Susan Fish " 1790 " Aug. 9, 1858 68 Richard H.
