David Samuelsen - January 2002 ************************************************************************ Worcester Co MA Vol. 80 page 470 Anna Aldrich of Northbridge probated First Tuesday of Aug 1838 I, Anna Aldrich of Northbridge in the County of Worcester and Commonwealth of Massachusetts, being of lawful age and weak in body but of sound mind, memory and understanding and considering the certainty of death and the uncertainty of the time thereof; and to the end I may be the better prepared to leave this wold whenever it shall please God to call me home, do therefore make and declare this my last Will and Testament in manner following. I give and devise all my Real Estate situate in Smithfield to the following persons in the proportions herein after named viz. to Mary Ann Hathaway fifty dollars to Mary Ann Mc Bride daughter of Obadiah Mc Bride twenty five dollars to Benjamin Mc Bride son of the said Obadiah Mc Bride twenty five dollars to Anna Elizabeth Aldrich, daughter of Elizabeth Aldrich deceased twenty five dollars to Olive E. Aldrich daughter of Betsy Aldrich twenty five dollars, and the residue equally between Horace C. Aldrich and Charles B. Aldrich, sons of the said Betsy Aldrich all the and remain to them their heirs and assigns forever. And in case either the said Horace C. Aldrich or Charles B. Aldrich should die before he comes into possession of the same, his share to go to the survivor. And I hereby authorize and empower my Executor herein after named to sell said real estate and divide the proceeds thereof to the above named devisees in the proportions abovementioned. And if said Estate cannot be sold advantageously and for the interest of said devisees, in that case they are to receive the rents and profits in the same proportions. Lastly, I hereby nominate, constitute and appoint my friend Benjamin Wheeler, my sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament, and establishing and confirming this and this only as my last Will and Testament. In witness whereof I Anna Aldrich (testatrix) to this my last Will and Testament have set my hand and seal this sixth day of the tenth month in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and thirty.
