David Samuelsen - January 2002 ************************************************************************ Worcester Co MA Vol 41 page 188 Benjamin Aldrich probated: 4 Feb 1812 I, Benjamin Aldrich of Uxbridge in the County of Worcester do make and ordain this Instrument to be my last Will & Testament revoking all others. After my just debts and funeral charles are all paid, I give and bequeath to my wife Lydia Aldrich two cows, one riding horse and saddle, six sheep, likewise, all my household furniture with her paying my Daughter Sarah Jencks wife of Job Jencks the sum of twenty dollars out of said property. Item. I give and bequeath to my son Israel Aldrich the sum of Fifty Dollars to be paid in one year after my decease, the reason of my giving him no more at this timeis that I have heretofore done for him and given him in house rent, firewood, cow keeping and horse keeping to the amount of one hundred dollars ove and above what he has done for me in repairing the house and otherwise since he was of lawfull age in doing this I consider all accounts between him and be balanced. Item. I give and bequeath to my son Daniel Aldrich one hundred dollars to be paid to him in one year from my decease. Item. I give and bequeath to my son Caleb Aldrich two hundred dollars to be paid in one year from my decease. Item. I give and bequeath to my four grandchildren Daniel, Rufus, Phebe and Moses Aldrich, sons and daughter of my son Moses Aldrich deceased to each of them ten dollars. Item. I give and bequeath to my grandson Benjamin Aldrich, son of Seth Aldrich, ten dollars. Item. The remainder of my stock (if any there be) with all my outdoor moveables I give to my two sons George and Seth Aldrich to be equally divided between them. Item. If any Estate remain after foregoing legacies are paid, I give the same to my wife to be and reamin to her. It is my meaning that the above legacies to my Sons, be paid in money, or neat stock. Lastly. I do nominate and appoint my Wife, Lydia Aldrich sole executrix of this will. In witnesses whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this twenty third day of the Twelfth month one thousand eight hundred and seven.
