MA Wills Vol. 86 page 165 Lyman Aldrich of Northbridge probated First Tuesday of Nov 1842 I, Lyman Aldrich of Northbridge, County of Worcester, State of Massachusetts being of a sound mind and memory calling to mind the mortality of my body knowing that it is appointed for all men once to die, ordain this to be my last will and testament. Impris. I give my body to the duct from whence it came to buried in a decent and plain way and manner and my spirit to him that gave it and touching my worldly estate I dispose of it in following manner. Item. I give unto my beloved wife Anna Aldrich all my Indoor moveables of Every names or nature to her own disposal and give to my wife abovenamed one hundred dollars together with one cow to her disposal and my wear apparel. Item. I give unto my beloved daughter Joanna Rawson wife of Stephen Rawson Thirty Dollars. Item. I give unto my beloved Daughter Hopestill Brown wife of Elisha Brown Thirty Dollars. Item. I give unto my beloved Daughter Charlott Jones wife of Luther Jones Forty Dollars. Item. I give unto my beloved Daughter Milly Jones wife of David Jones Thirdy Dollars. Item. I give unto my beloved Daughter Anna A. Aldrich one half of a certain wood lot that I own laying on the Hill joingin Samuel W. Aldrich land estimating about ten acres being the same more or less. Item. I give unto my beloved son Lyman Aldrich Jr. a certain piece of land bounded on Elisha White's land and on the above named Lyman's land by his paying to my grandchildren Ann Eliza Aldrich and Charess A. Aldrich Forty Dollars to be equally divide between them when the above named Eliza arrives at the age of Eighteen year. Item. I give unto my beloved son Sylvanus B. Aldrich a certain piece of Interwail land joining Samuel W. Aldrich's land and the Cannal by his paying to my Executors hereafter named Ninety Dollars. Item. I give unto my beloved son Gardner Aldrich five Dollars. Item. I give unto my beloved son Arnold Aldrich five Dollars. And all the rest of my real and personal Estate of what name or nature not heretofore given away I put into the hands of Executors to enable them to pay my just debts and the above legaces and funeral charges and the overplush if there should be any to be equally divided among my children above named. And I appoint my sons Gardener Aldrich and Sylvanus B. Aldrich to be by Executors of this my last will and testiment revoking all other wills heretofore made.
